Deputies Find 41-Year-Old Man With Multiple Stab Wounds In Maryland, Sheriff Says

An investigation has been launched in Harford County after a man had to be rushed to an area hospital after being stabbed repeatedly, according to the sheriff's office.

Edgewood resident Gregory Leon Keels, 41, has been identified by officials as the person who was assaulted early on Tuesday morning following an apparent incident on Hanson Road.

Deputies were called shortly after 12:45 a.m. on April 9 to the 2500 block of Hanson Road in Edgewood to investigate a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, they found Hanson suffering from multiple wounds, and he was rushed by paramedics to a local trauma center after being treated at the scene by first responders.

The stabbing is now being investigated by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, which is attempting to determine a possible motive and suspect.

Investigators made note that "this is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the general public."
